With 20 years experience in the landscape industry, Heather has a wealth of knowledge and projects under her belt. She has studied and taught horticulture and landscape design while running her own landscape design and construction business.

Heather is also the landscape consultant for The Sands Torquay having designed many of their open public spaces plus being part of The Sands Architectural Review Committee since it’s inception. She provides a wealth of knowledge whether it is design, planting, garden management, landscape construction, local council landscape requirements for commercial and residential developments and land care.

“I love taking a space and making it functional as well as aesthetically pleasing. Aspects, architecture, climate, plant cultural requirements and of course budget play an important part in my design process whether I am designing for a commercial client or an individual. I try to be the conduit for clients to get what they want out of their landscape.

It is their backyard not mine.

Consultation is also a big part of my work with clients needing help with existing gardens, problem gardens, weed identification and plant management. One of my greatest quests is to encourage an awareness in the community to the menace of environmental weeds. As a responsible horticulturalist the need to tackle this immense problem head on is so important for our biodiversity”.
